The mattress pad keeps you much warmer than the blanket as all the heat from the pad is trapped by a sheet & blanket on to of you. A elc. blanket looses heat from being on top of you & having to penetrate down thru a sheet & blanket under its self. It also will warm the mattress as you said before bed. Get one & ENJOY!!![]()

bmacke wrote:have any of you found a queen sized 12volt mattress pad? I thought I saw one once, but haven't been able to find it again. All I find are the small, truck cab bunk size. We have a 120v one at home and the wife loves it so I need to find her one for the teardrop before we go anywhere.

I wonder how long a battery would last using the inverter for the night? That of course would mean the inverter would be on all night. Mine is noisy.mikeschn wrote:We might be forced to run an AC mattress warmer on an inverter.![]()

mobile camper wrote:We use hot water bottles to pre warm our bed. Works great. Just add hot water and place between the sheets about 30 min before bed. When you crawl in you have a nice warm bed. depending on how much of the bed you want to warm just add a couple of more hot water bottles. We found that the bottles last all night long.No draw on the battery.
