Ok, there you go.
The woman in my AV is my wife, who retired from the NV Army National Guard after 22 years of military service in Jan of 2008. We met and married in 1988 at Ft.Campbell, KY where we were both on active duty as helicopter mechanics. I only stayed in until 1992, just after Desert Storm. She stayed on active duty for 2 more tours because they kept offering her nice duty stations to reenlist. We moved here in 1998 when she finally left active duty, and she joined the NV National Guard full time.
People have a hard time believing my sweet little wife is in reality a retired Sergeant First Class - until she raises the timbre of her voice and uses that authoritative firmness on them that removes any doubt.
We both have long standing military traditions in our families - back to the Revolutionary War on both her side and mine. As a result, we both have a very deep appreciation for the sacrifice every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, and Coast Guardsman makes, whether they be active duty, reservist, or National Guardsman.
Thank you to all of my Brothers and Sisters in Arms; past, present, and future. Know that you are loved, honored, and respected.
