The Start of my TD Explorer

Hello Everyone here is my first Tear Drop build and things are looking good.
The floor turned out very sturdy and we added a Vrail down the middle for more support.
We even laid some duck tape to seal the deal.










This Thanksgiving weekend will start the walls sense I have 4 Days off

That's one solid looking floor. I've never seen a "v-rail" before!

That is the one of the stoutest looking floors that I've seen. You're on your way now!

BTW your trailer - the one supporting the floor - looks a lot like the one Mark (Planovet) has. Is this the one you'll be using for your teardrop?

Thanks Guys for your support!! I think that this is the start of a nice looking tear drop as well. And yes Parnold I will be using this trailer
It is very stout and should handle most I put it through. I like that the wheels are where they are because I will be changing them and to match my rigs 32" tires for sand and Mtn roads.

Thats some fancy work you did on the flooring with the V rails. Ive never seen that either but impressive.

Yeah the floor was a bit of a challange but turned out great. Everything is going as planned. My little girl loves it!! She has her own club house!

So no luck on windows yet I really want louvered ones and then I came across this build your own. Has anyone here done this before looks easy enough.

I hadn't seen that before. Interesting. I don't see any provision for a top and bottom piece. It might be hard to make water tight. You might try to call and speak to them about your application.

Oh yeah well they have this kit for the top and bottom. Looks like there made pretty good too. Iv been looking around in all the fields in the country up here and have spotted a few old trailers with louvers but then I came across this new 18" Jalousie Strip Hardware. So im not so sure of what I wanna do I have lots of other things on the trailer I need to do now but this gained my attention because they seem hard to find.
