REintroduction

Postby DogStar » Wed Nov 24, 2010 8:29 pm

Hell All,

Sometime ago and I started on my Teardrop search for building etc I joined up here and learned so much.

We time passes and I thought I should make a quick mention that I FINALLY just now ordered up my trailer.

I am getting a RedTrailer 5x8 with the upgraded axle and wheel package. This takes it from GVR of 1450 to a full 2000lbs. It also give a 13 inch tire with 5 bolts instead of the 12 inch with 4 bolt.

I look forward to working on this project over the next year or so. The trailer will be made "convertible" to have other uses. So my Teardrop will be made removable. There are times I need the trailer to haul motorcycles instead.

As I head down this path I look forward to getting to know many of you and look to you for your expertise!

Happy Thanksgiving to all,
Sincerely,
Eric (DogStar)
Always with my thanks,
Eric

[quote="DogStar"]Hell All,

Hi there, Dog Star, welcome to the forum, and "Hell All" the same to you. Hey, I think there is an "O" missing there somewhere. :-) Welcome to the forum, ask questions, take pics and post em, and send in lots of money...........Naw, just kidding on that last one. Good luck on your build. Remember, you can't ever build just one! Just ask others.

Thanks Roly! Loving your build.

Well let me just say Heck All!

Nice to be back. I wasted (I mean spent productively) many hours on the site last night and this morning too. I have set-up a notebook so I can make a log of all the information and resources etc I will need.

It is so easy to spend a few hours here just going through thread after thread. ':)'

I will most definitely keep ongoing photos of the project and post them as well.

This is going to be an ongoing process and I am so glad to have found you all! Happy Thanksgiving. My day is filled with online study and planning for my Teardrop Build!

Your friend,
Eric

Eric:

It's good you're back and getting started! It may sound a little corny, but building a tear can really be one of those turning points in your life. I know at least for me, it has opened up so many opportunities for exploration and relaxation.

Ya gotta love a dog person! Hopefully, there will be a dog-buddy in your trailer with you! Good luck on your build.

Eric:

My first was simple and fast, which is exactly what I set out to do. I'm very happy with it, but already planning to build a little bigger for #2, and a lot more attention paid to details. #2 will be 5x10, inusulated, and I'm spending the money on a fantastic fan for sure. Still pondering a/c and heat, probably go with a pet cool. I'm also going with a more traditional shape, and considering aluminum.

Good luck to you, and enjoy the research. I can't tell you how many different ideas, and tips I got from reading numerous build threads.

Hi Sharon (and everyone),
My avatar is from my business logo and the dog that was the model fro the logo is my own dog Braveheart.

You can be sure if I travel she travels and I know she will want to be in some of the build pictures!

40 more minutes of study then I gotta get some personal chores done...
Eric
