Do you have a 12volt line in your Cargo trailer?

southpennrailroad wrote:Well everyone I just purchased the 16,000 BTU heater at this web site below. (I figure the free $16.00 value) thermostat is worth the higher cost of the one I saw on the ebay web page. It also is a 16,000 compared to the 12,000 btu one I saw and in my non insulated trailer would do just fine. I hope I did fine on this. I hope this also helps in the draw down of the condensation. Yes I am aware of the moisture I will give out but plan on not using the furnace at night as I will always use the mattress heating pads. I have two batteries as I thought one was used up but found it is sound so the new furnace will be on it's own battery leaving the battery operated heating pad on it's own battery. I plan on installing the furnace on the front face of the trailer. I will get rid of the Blue flame heater. Anyone want it for $50 bucks Plus S&H. Am I Ok to do this? I don't want to be in the wrong here. You all know me and I don't represent the blue flame ownership. Just trying to recoup some loss in the higher price I just paid for the new furnace. Trust me I just want to get safe living in my trailer and have no use for a blue flame heater while living in a 6 X 10 trailer.
I also like the idea of a thermostat next to my bed to get the trailer warmed up B4 crawling out of the blankets in the am. I will install it on my over head wood cabinet so it will not get confused with cold wall mounted readings but will get inside center of the trailer readings.
Thanks everyone for your concerns and now to figure out how to install this. I see that it is ) O clearance so that will help. I also see it needs 8 " and I think I have that on the floor next to where i have the present heater piped in so that would be helpful and it would be on the floor sending heat across the floor to the back section just as I did this past night with the milk house heater. I may get rid of that also.
Mike I will be in touch with you.

I went by the book in ordering this 16,000 btu heater from the but they made a mistake and caught me off guard so I canceled this order and down graded to a 12,000 heater for less. That was a big jump in price for me.
Here is what they said"Hello

FHS " And I don't think they even took off for the previous $29.00 for their previous shipping. I am purchasing a different heater for $47.00.S&H charges from Washington State. I re thought it over and realize that a 12,000 btu is used in pop ups so it should do alright in my enclosed trailer as it has no canvas. It would have been nice to have the extra btu's though.

The cycle times will be a lot shorter because you have such a big furnace, and you won't dry out the air as much. But you should be miles ahead of that blue flame thing you have.
Oh, and not to worry about the battery drawdown.
The Atwood 8012-II is Front Discharge with the the Ultra Low Amp. Draw of 1.8. This incredibly Low Amp Draw makes this unit the most Electrically Efficient Furnace of its type on the market today. This unit is ideal for those concerned about battery drain while in the wild.

Thanks Mike for reassuring me. I thought the price was great and he also told me the same thing and then when I finally insulate the trailer I should be good to go. He said he was sending it slow shipping and I was going to send it to my company where I work but they said it may not get their until next Thursday or Friday and my company closes on Friday so I have it sent to my sons in laws. I will probably install it while I have no work between Christmas & New Years. Can't wait.
Oh so I will still have moisture correct. Then I will just have to use the Vortex fan to help get rid of moisture.
