Another beauty job Doug! You really did justice to another classic

So, got any closeups of the new tank decal? Scott & Jeremy are really getting good at those.

Thanks all...these are really fun rewarding projects and I just gotta keep busy in the garage if I'm not building a trailer. Next project the pre-way I got from Woodbutcher. Doug

Another AWESOME stove by Dougcraft..... :applause:
Doug, I tried to get that tank off today but the line at the PO was out the door and around the corner. I'll try again at a smaller, less busy PO that's open Monday.

Hang onto it Kevin....I think I'm OK...I patched it with JB weld...mooshed a load of it into the tank through a drilled out hole then held the tank so that it would flow into that rusted area on the inside of the tank and thumped it on the end with a rubber mallet to get it to flow. Smeared a patch on the outside.

Tested it with some air and in a tank of water...held fine. Painted it up, fueled it, put like 80 pumps to it and no leaks, stove fired right up. It's sitting in the garage with full pressure and fuel in it now. See what happens over night. JB weld seems to be like a really thick POR 15 to me. I've used it on the inside of fuel tanks before and had no problems with it. Doug

I built a fire in it today...after some fiddling around with it...couldn't figure out why it wouldn't light...I found that the spring on the aux burner has lost some of its tension and the burner was wide open as well as the main. I need to take care of that little issue....and after clowning around with the preheat valve....I breathed some life into it. This baby really puts out some BTU's. I need to watch it as the flame is so hot and the walls are close to the burners, that I don't scorch it.

It needs a lead gasket for the fuel tank filler...need to come up with something for that. At least I got it running which is the main goal. It doesn't matter how good looking the stove is if it don't run! Doug
