My feeling, you can always put on more cloths, you can only go so far in the other direction. I am working on making my garage more weather/wind proof so I can work out there. I am feeding an old Iron Fireman oil heater but I am working to get the Espar diesel heater hooked up (much more fuel efficient, once I have it in its case and hoses etc. it will/can be used with the tear.

Winter has been here for almost a month! Forget that solstice mumbo-jumbo, winter is December, January, February. Spring is March, April, May. Summer is June, July, August. Autumn is September, October, November.

November may be autumn at sea level, Eureka, but it's been winter, winter, winter up here in the Sierra Nevada! We toyed with the idea of going south, to maybe Parker or Yuma, to escape rain and snow momentarily. But even those spots have been getting rain this week. Not sure we could've seen the lunar eclipse from down there, had we gone. We did see it from here at home!

The days are getting longer..... now I wonder if they will ever end

Wherever you are in the country, La Nina has affected the weather giving us some unusual weather patterns. Anyone needing a respite from the snow, come on down to St Augustine we know how to have a good time. 8)

Jerome, summer here is May, June, July, August and September. Spring lasts about six weeks, and fall lasts about two weeks. October, November and December are a crap shoot. It could be hot, or could be freezing -- all in the same day.

I have honestly driven to work in the morning in a short-sleeve shirt, and driven home from work in an ice storm, multiple times.

January and February are grey. Seriously, there is no color in those two months. We go black and white. And, drizzle. Not rain, just drizzle.

This may be the winter solstice but someone let the snow gods start way too early this year. First day of winter and we are at 220% of normal snowfall for year to date. I have a snowpile on what used to be my front lawn that stands over 8 feet tall and we're getting more snow tomorrow. I had hoped for a light winter and early spring so that I could start on my trailer. I was hoping March. At this rate it will be more like late June! :x :x Damn!
