Absolutely beautiful, Doug. Great job, I bet it didn't come out of the factory looking that good.

And nice work on the stencil CD!

This page needs a pic, too.

We're running out of superlatives, my good man... and from this particular pic one can see the power cord plugged in to run this rare stove model's rotisserie feature...

Chris, the extension cord is not for the rotisserie but fir the electric waffle dog iron hidden the fuel tank. ;)

Here's a pic of the stencil on the tank. I still need to do a bit of work on the little T in the letter K in kit and didn't want to post it till it looked better than when I first peeled the stencil. I took some super fine compound designed to take out swirl marks when using a polisher, and a bunch of elbow grease, + some careful time with an exacto blade. I think I'll work on the painting technique before I do it again. CD really did a great job on the stencil for me! Doug

I built a fire in it tonight. 2 things I noticed...this fuel tank doesn't like to have a splash in it...needs more than that and I must have some crud in the gennie. Once I got it running, it would get up to temp, seems like something loosened up in the gennie and it would almost die off, then roar again. Once I got it going, took a small wrench and tapped along the fuel supply line till I found the spot that caused it to have an issue. Right at the valve where the gennie is. 1 tap and it would die down, another and it would roar. At least I got it to operate. I'll tend to the issues tomorrow.

Like I say..."it doesn't matter how good they look if they don't run". I'll bet that comes back to bite me in the butt in the future! Doug

Wow, what a neat burner-flame-hole pattern. And as was brought to my attention, the burners are cast iron.

Beautiful.

As I suspected....I got some crud out of the gennie. I couldn't remove the spring when I rebuilt it, but once it went through a heat/cool cycle and with some gentle tapping while hot, it loosened right up and was no problem getting it apart. Runs great now. Doug
