Thank y'all once again for keeping motivated! I've been busier than a ____ the last couple of weeks.
I finished the interior cabinet face frames and cases. The cabinet adjacent to the galley bulkhead is tiered. The lower section has space at the back for two bottom-firing speakers. The two compartments at each end are open cubby holes. Next two them will be the interior switches. In the middle, there will be a drawer with a flip-out 19" LCD television. The upper cabinets have three compartments with cabinet doors. The center section will have space for a DVD player and car radio. The outer two compartments are for storage. Here's some random pics of the interior cabinet construction:
About a week ago, I realized "finished" was not possible in time for the Beavers Bend gathering at the end of March. So, cabinet construction has been put on hold, and I am in the "get it campable" mode. By that, I mean weathertight and that's about it.
First task is to finish the doors. I needed to cut pockets for the lockset latches and deadbolts which was a little daunting. It turned out to be not that bad. I sealed the wood with JB Weld, then installed the strikeplates and locksets. Here are a few random pics of this work:
Next up for this weekend are the installation of the windows, installing door and hatch seals, and some type of hatch latch.
Thanks for looking and take care,
Tom
