Hi From Wonderful Windy Wyoming!

Postby JaneV » Sat Mar 19, 2011 10:41 pm

Greetings - I am a brand new Teardrop owner. Busy prepping for my maiden voyage and waiting for spring...I can't wait to get out on the road, into the woods and meet other Teardrop lovers.
I am awed by the talent of all you Teardrop builders. My "SnuggleBug"
is a Little Guy Silver Shadow which I am sure will fit the bill perfectly!
I live in Wyoming and love to travel- been all over the world and now want to see all of the natural beauty of our National Parks and recreation areas.
The kids are grown, life is under control and it is time for me and my little Edward (dog) to head out. Hope to meet some of you Tear Jerkers at the upcoming events! Jane

Hi Jane,
I believe I met you at the trailer place in Loveland. Is that correct?

If so, I gave Bruce my down payment for a 5-wide Little Guy that day. Little Guy is supposed to ship early this week so I am expecting mine soon.

Welcome!

I have Silver Shadow and just love the ease of handling it by myself.

The closest I have been to Wyoming was my trip to Custer State Park a few years ago. Beautiful part of the US.

If you are on Facebook, head over to my friend, Alison's, page for women who camp.

Welcome to the forum from a little West of you. You will love teardropping and the really great people you meet. Windy Wyoming is right. I have never traveled through Wyoming without a headwind-both directions. I have spent some wonderful times in the Wind River range.

I went to Colorado just to see a couple of TearDrops up close and personal - went home and thought and thought and then I
Bought!
Made arrangements for the trailer hitch all by myself, went back and brought her home.
My Tiny Trailer has caused quite a stir with all my neighbors! They have those humongous RVs and are just fascinated and very curious about my new baby. I even got an offer (a real one) to make me a professional Trailer Backer Upper.

Big Dan,
Bruce, our Colorado Little Guy dealer had a 4-wide, 5-wide, 5-wide sink and stove and a Silver Shadow in his showroom. All of them had the power package. I ordered a 5-wide with deep cycle battery on the tongue last month and mine should ship this week. It looks like Jane bought the Silver Shadow he had onsite.

I bought mine on ebay and had to have it shipped up to Washington from California. That was by far the hardest part. Waiting for it to arrive. I hope you enjoy your new teardrop.

Getting back to my roots - always loved camping - only problem is both growing up and as adult had all males in my life (dad, husband, sons) who would not let me anywhere near Coleman fuel, lanterns "mantles" or trailer hitches. (Got a great laugh at one post from someone who said cooking and lighting up the night with fuel has the potential for much more excitement than propane -I also know that "poof" noise and great Coleman Camping smell) :o . I WILL overcome these handicaps! I really was a half-decent Girl Scout..... ;)
Would love to put pics of my dog and trailer on if I could only figure it out.
