Dometic RC2000 3 way cooler

Postby parnold » Fri Apr 08, 2011 2:16 pm

I see one of these on Craigslist about 1/2 hour from my house for $60.00. Anyone have any experience with these? It seems like a very good deal to me, and I"ll go and offer $50.00 for it!!

Paul, not familiar with that model, but if it's 3-way then it's ammonia based.

If it's up and running then no worries. If not, at least take a look at the coil assembly (generally in the rear) and look for signs of yellow stains. Yellow stains mean the gas leaked out..

Paul

I'm very fimiliar with these.

They are absolutly fantastic. they do everything you want them to do and they are Portable...by Portable I mean they can go with you and not the trailer. As opposed to a Built in 3 way.

Just make sure when you get it that it is on and running on LP gas....very important.

DO NOT TAKE THE SELLERS SAY SO!!!

Happy Trails

I think I'll take a tank and hose with me then..

Len.. do you know if it is a standard fitting??

And how long will it take to know that it's working.. is it almost instant, or should I have to wait a bit?
