Thanks!

I took it to get weighed as it is with the windows temporarily screwed in place 620lbs. So Im happy its in the range I calculated it would be.

Wasnt bad driving, although I felt the drag a little as I moved up to 55mph. I only did a short 4 mile ride cause it was drizzling which turned to rain. Hubs were cool to the touch... I might think of an air deflector or something. Otherwise it pulled fine.

 It would be a good place to store the anchor while underway.

My friend and his daughter(who is also a carpenter) built some nice black walnut rough huned benches...Im thinkin of building one about 10" tall as a step and as something to sit on inside. My plan is on the right of the door across the front of the vardo Im going to make a counter top with storage under it so I have a flat surface to put stuff down on (laptop lol) and the stool to sit on. I want to hide a porta pottie under it if Im campin somewhere without facilities or the weather is bad and Im feelin lazy lol.

I have the same problem with the barn and I just built some simple steps

Image

They may look large and kinda clunky but when your arms are full and you are loading up they feel great underfoot

Image

They are the last thing in and the 1st thing out !

Image

Here is a bit of a glimps of how they are made I couldn't find a full picture of them :x
Growing older but not up !

Didnt get as much accomplished as I planned and rain is moving in.

I got the door together. Im not goin with the piano hinge, gettin something a little stronger. Image

Trim piece is shot and glued need to sand it tomorrow and start painting it... Image

Back window Image and new window frame minus paint and plexiglass Image

The back window is going to swing up so I can slide a 5000 btu air conditioner in it.

I went with the 45ml EPDM rubber roof. Had to order the correct adhesive http://www.bestmaterials.com/detail.aspx?ID=16077 ( Thanks Steve!)

So next week the rubber roof will go on, then I can start insulating the inside and run ac and dc wires...

Thanks Burke, but it feels like I should have gotten more done lol. The rain is now for saturday night so I can get some work done (prepping for painting the door and trim and the window frame... cant wait to have it closed up so I can start runnin wires then insulate it.

then play time starts lol

Looks like you've done an awesome job, Deryk.
You definitely have me thinking about my next build!

What kind of hinges were you thinking about vs. the piano hinge?
