Found one!!!

Postby Duckfenderly1 » Tue Apr 19, 2011 1:52 am

Sorry no picture of this great find. I really am sorry for this. I went to the box store in need of a 2x4 any 2x4 would have worked I was going to cut it to death for blocking. It was a like a picture of heaven walking towards it glowing for me to pick it up. A straight piece of lumber all the way around!!!!!! I could have left it but hadnt seen one in many years. So I got my grove on with a smile on my face to pay for it. My love whats her name said I was like a kid that just got straight A's on a report card. So I made a plaque and put alittle piece of it on it and hung it over the mattle until whats her name told me i couldnt leave it there. Sure made my day hope you all find one soon its a great feeling!!!

Calm down !! Take a deep breath... in.. out... Good. Now WHAT was it you found ?

Certainly, it wasn't zactly 2 BY 4.. but rather a "modern" version of said piece of lumber.. say a wet, slightly twisted, piece of "new growth" pine?

Straight !!?? It couldn't possibly BE... could it ?

If so.. have it BRONZED and display it like it was a Picasso !!

We have SO much FUN on these forums !!!

Now, back to yer regularly scheduled programming...LOL !

Personally, I'd have bought it and taken it outside to auction off to the highest bidder. Probably would have made enough to buy a planer and jointer...

I think you should erect a 9 ft long steamer box in your back yard and steam that baby for about 6 hours take it out and twist and bend it as much as you can and teach that non conformist piece of lumber who is Boss. And for goodness sake trade in your trailer for a tear drop and get some brakes on it. Also whatever you do....do not put a toilet in it. Its not an RV you know. :)
