wherever you hail from, effect your travels this year? It's way on four bucks and there is no relief yet in site.

Went to lunch at noon yesterday it was $3.94 a gallon didn't take the time to fuel up :(

Got off work and on "E" it had jumped 25 cents to $4.19 :x

Made the trip across town and the very last possible station was still at $3.94 and it was bumper to bumper with folks.

Never thought I would be glad to find fuel at $3.94 a gallon
Growing older but not up !

Yes it is going to effect my travel plans this year.

THAT IS WHY I AM BUILDING A TEAR!!!!!!!

But yes, even with the tear we are going to go to more local events than cross country events.

Not to sound political, but I simply refuse to give the oil companies anymore money than I have to. I'd rather spend my money with the good people in the brewing industry 8)

I'm an inch away from sandbagging, so it is upon me...finally. Once this has passed then the decision to buy my Rough Rider will take over and the price of fuel ill be a deciding factor. I'm sorta with John here about hibernating, I do enough of it now during the winter months. I have gone from getting gift cards for Red Lobster from my Credit Card points to Exxon and Shell cards. That might help a bit but I love Red Lobster too.

sad to say I even plan trips to hospital with trips to get car repaired.

60 mile roundtrip I have done it twice already this week
cost of gas $3.89 I get 25+ mpg so 120/25=4.8 gallons times $3.89 I used about $19 worth of gas

my truck gets 16 mpg at it's best so I drive the car most times and only use the truck in deep snow or to pull a trailer.

when pulling my last trailer I got 9 mpg I'm hopeing I get better with a CT but I may not.

Nope, not going to affect my travels this year. I have plans for several 1K+ trips and intend to keep those plans :) Have plans for an Alaskan vacation next year..... we'll have to see

I have plans to go back to the ITG and then Caprock in June and then the LCG in October. I'm looking forward to the cheaper gas going east. The only change I'm going to make is using the Pilot to tow, not the wagon or truck. It gets a little better gas mileage. I'll buy all my gas on a credit card (not a gas card) and then worry about paying it off afterwords. :?

I'm with Gage.. I have one big trip planned to Crossroads in Indiana, I'll charge the gas for that. The rest of my trips will all be within a couple hours of home.

One way to save is only travel one way. Those round trips cost twice as much

I've decided to limit this summer's trips to ~200 miles from home. So I'll be exploring parts of California where I've never camped before, like the central coast.

I bought the Tin Tent with the intention of taking it to Alaska to visit relatives, but I'm postponing that trip until it's more affordable. With gas at $4.25 a gallon here in the Bay Area, I don't want to know how much it is in Northern Canada and Alaska

It just might. Gotta drive to GA in July to see the kid graduate from Fort Benning, want to be sure we have the cash for that.
