Under a section about camping with kids I came upon a thread about the mechanics of certain activities in the bunk ends with kids in the trailer - noise, camper moving, bunk falling off, etc.
There were a few funny stories but then, IMHO, things started to deteriorate. It seems the majority of members there seem to participate in and fully endorse such activites in inappropriate public places within campgrounds such as PICNIC TABLES (thankful that I always bring a tablecloth), in front of campfire, in gender specific public showers, and along public hiking trails.
More than once it was mentioned that being seen, loud, or obvious was no problem, "because we are never going to see these people again." Some even proudly related stories about being kicked out of campgrounds for making a scene of themselves.
I just think all of this is completely disgusting and disrespectful to every other current or future camper (the picnic table!!) I honestly hope I am not just being a prude and some others here agree with me.
I have always thought of campgrounds as a good environment for my kids and I hope they continue to be for my grandchildren. What people do in privacy is up to them, but if others can see or hear it thats just unacceptable, right?
