Thanks for the plug, Pop! I just wanted to add real quick that Jon and I are about 75% finished with our first production model teardrop. We have been working on designs/concepts since last fall, and have been about 3 months into this trailer so far, putting lots of effort into making sure that every step is well thought out, every piece of material hand selected, and every cut precise. We are using very high quality components, materials, fasteners, glues, sealants, etc. We also place great importance on keeping all of our tools well-tuned and we build jigs wherever possible to be able to easily re-create every part with efficiency and precision.
We fully realize that this site is comprised largely of folks who build their own teardrops, and we absolutely love the do-it-yourself spirit, that's how we got to this point... Be both built our own personal teardrops for our families, and enjoyed the process, community, and lifestyle so much that we thought we'd try to make a living at it!
I would love to encourage any and all teardrop enthusiasts with a few minutes to spare to check out our website (still in rough form) and take a look at our build pics...
