The blower relay in my Town Car had been out for the past month, and I live in the Dallas area. Of course being a newish car, the part was $100 and 2 hrs labor... on my 74 Monte Carlo would be a $15 part and a 5 min install, but that's another story....
It was so frustrating because the AC was working fine, and if you put your face right up to the vent, you could barely feel that cold air, it just wouldn't blow. Well after last week, I got fed up. I still did not have the money to do it, so I temporarily wired it up direct with the ignition and it is working good now. I figure with this heat, when you turn on the car, the blower is going to be on high the whole time anyway.
I'll replace the relay in the fall once it cools off, but that was a hot month without it. I would wear a different shirt on my way into the office and change when I got there, and going to my friends in Terrell an hour and 15 min away for my weekly BBQ stopped being so fun LOL...
So good to have cold air again...
