Tom you are partly right, I did not replace the pin with a bolt and nut, but I did put a nylon washer from a box store in the gap between the two hing pieces which took out most of the wobble nicely.
Also because of the door jamb trim and the T molding on top of that, the door set out almost an 1/8" inch, so I trimmed out a leftover piece from my plastic hatch hinge and used it as a spacer would be level on the body and the door.
