Truck Generator

Postby rebapuck » Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:29 am

The Sept issue of Family Handyman has a two page article on how to turn your truck into a generator. I know you guys eat this stuff up.

I've scanned it if anyone wants to see it. PM me.

I've had a request for the article, but I haven't been able to attach what looks like a readable size to a PM.

I can send a regular email that is great, but I need your email address to do that.

OMG!! I just noticed the "1 Grand". Didn't know I had that much to say.

If you are going to do this, use jumper cables, shortens the time imposed by using say a 10ga wire at 30A. My jumpers are 000 welding cables, the difficulty is that you still have to monitor the battery and make sure you have a full charge.
