I really was curious as to why they wanted the entire tear under a screen gazebo.

Is easier than setting up 2 or 3 gazebos/screen rooms, etc. Are times you might want to hide your rig as well lol

Depends on the weather with us. Since we have two guys camping on cots, we use a coleman event canopy. Bad weather we have walls; good weather no walls. Walls are good for privacy. I'm not really concerned about showing the TD. People are curious enough when they see a hitch coming out of a tent. See album.

Well, when we tried it with the 12x12 Gazebo, yes it was tight. However, it was VERY nice. We normally use an EZ Up, but I wanted something with screen. My husband suggested the screen walls that you can purchase but I really didn't like that idea. Even though the 12x12 was "tight", we both really liked the feel of it (and my husband was definitely skeptical about it). To me, it felt like we were sitting on a porch...it kept off the light rain (same as the EZ Up) and it was a very cozy feeling. AND, I loved the way the teardrop looked in it (from the outside). Believe me...we are VERY proud of our teardrop and the "campground curb appeal" is the #1 priority to me (us).

So, yesterday I broke down and ordered a 17x15 screen room. I figure the only way I'll know for sure, is to try it. It was a good price and I figure if we don't like it for the teardrop, we can always use it over the picnic table. The only thing I don't like about it is the color. But I am a crafty person and if we like the gazebo itself, I'm sure I can find a way to fix that.

Anyway, this is the one I ordered and we go on a week long camping trip, next month. I will take pictures and let you know how it worked out. :)

It is a "Texsport® 17x15' Party Hut Screen Arbor". It's a brand I've never heard of...I was just looking for the largest "gazebo" I could find (for the most reasonable price), and this was it. Reviews were pretty good...avg 4 out of 5 stars for most sites.

I believe it's Coleman that also makes a large one, but of course it's pricier than this one was. I didn't want to spend a fortune on one, until we decide if we like it. If we do, I'll probably spring for the more well-known/well-made brand.

I ordered it from Gettington.com. I've never ordered from them, before (I'll let you know how that goes). Price is $69.95 and it said it was "In Stock - Will Ship in 5-days". http://www.gettington.com/product/17-x- ... /P7664.uts

Price is certainly right. Will be interested in knowing how it works out. Texsport actually makes quite a few screen rooms and tents. Quality seems to be good. I just ordered a 12X9 Texsport screen room this morning for another purpose. Price about the same as you paid, but on Amazon.com with free shipping.

I'm an Amazon shopper and they have this one on their site, but it's out of stock. I did a google search and found several sites...most were out of stock. Then, I finally found that one in stock.

I'll certainly let you know! There are a couple of things I want to take pictures of, and post. One is the AC contraption that was one of my "crazy ideas" and it actually works very well. We put a small unit on the roof and draped a towel over it...sucked the air into the teardrop with the roof fan. In hundred degree heat, it about froze us out. So, my husband is building something that will be more efficient than the towel draped over it. Sometimes my crazy ideas really work. After ten years of marriage, he's finally figuring that out. 8)

I think you'll find the TexSport to be good quality stuff. Our shower/potti/changing room by TexSport has been great. It's the same (different color) as the ones sold by Cabelas & other 'high end' outlets but a good %age less costly. I've erected it by myself several times in 15min or so but it's easier with a helper ;) . I've also used the propane 'tree' distribution post by TexSport & it works as well or better than the Coleman for less $$. I've nothing against Coleman (got tons of their stuff) or any other quality mfg'r but if I can get comparable quality for less money, that leaves more for campin', travelin', etc.

Not a very good pic but this shows our TexSport 'changing' room that we've been using since 2008

I like that! You know what I find strange...when people ask to look at our teardrop (which they always do), one of the first questions they ask is, "Where do you change clothes?" It is a concern, but it certainly wasn't one of my first questions, about teardrops. :o

Thus is what we do when we cam p or we did til this quik shade canopy flew off and land up-side down. And we also turn the drivers side toward the road so peole can see that side and not my body silohuetted at night . We also used this so the pups could be in shade during the day.

while the hubby may think the "towel over the AC & the Gazebo for the td" might be some of what you call
"your crazy ideas" :? but I'm sure after 10 years he no longer thinks marrying you is one too............ :beautiful:
