Sometimes hourly, but the gypsy in me somewhat tempered by the wife by my side lol But we do have plans of just hitting the road at some point and staying there. Not sure it will be in our current TD or not though

That thought has definatly crossed my mind as of lately, I don't know if its cause when camping your so relaxed and centered or if its cause when at home there is house problems, or its a combination of both thats why I started the thread about http://tnttt.com/viewto ... ht=#854741
There is a world, just beyond now,
where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility;

Anywhere I roam where I lay my head is home....

To not get too far off topic and certainly not TD related since our TD wouldn't be able to come with us, but my wife and I are toying with retiring to Margarita. OK, not retiring to the drink, but the island. And why not, gas 8 cents a gallon and one can live very well for 1200 or less a month. Nothing perfect of course as every spot or idea has an upside and down side, but to get away from it all or make life simpler does have its appeal.

I have talked about doing that when I retire, sell my house, and spend a year or so wandering before I settle down somewhere that the taxes are cheap enough I can afford to live. I have no wife to tell me I'm crazy!

I got rid of most everything. Stored very little - some art with one friend, reference materials with another, a couple of boxes of sentimental with my Mom. Don't know where I am heeded or how long it will last, but I am doing it none the less!

We have a friend who sold everything & has lived in his teardrop full-time for 6 years. No sign of that changing. Travels all over the country...even spent 2 winters in northern Minnesota in his teardrop!

I wouldn't say it's for everyone, but, yes, it can be done.

Tempting....so tempting at times. I'll bet I could stay in my 12' SideKick (which has no water heater or 'frig) in Florida for a few weeks in the winter!!! As long as my camp site was close to a restroom, that is.

I did find a 27' TT last weekend that was like a small 1 bedroom house. Nice, good price.....but I'd have to get a bigger truck, less mpg, etc.

We all need dreams. Maybe one of these days our dreams will come true.
