They are designed in my mind. Just need the time to build them. Weekend is just 3 days away!

what kind of glass would you use for the windows?

Droid, I used Plexiglass... Lexan would be good too .... Thinking glass might not hold up as well to road use ...

Looking good! Only thing I might be concerned with is the plastic fogging over time. I used Lexan as a rear window on my truck topper when the glass shattered, and after about 5 years it looked like frosted glass.

Rat,

The entire bed platform lifts up...

I'll try to get a picture of that this weekend...

Hey Mike,

Got a question for you. Back about mid June or so, you had purchased a medieval torture device called a wallcover perforating tool. (Insert horror movie woman screaming here)  You had mentioned that you were going to use it to increase the "grip" of the canvas to your walls. You also mentioned fiberglass.

Did the tool work as you planned? Did you try it with the fiberglass. I think I'm going the way of fiberglass with TB2 and Kilz over the top instead of the epoxy. The TB2 and the Kilz are definitely cheaper than epoxy resin. Some testing will be needed to make sure it all sticks. With the fiberglass I won't need to worry about shrinkage or sizing. But I may still go the canvas route.

Just thinking...

Thanks...   :

Mel,

After testing said torture device, I found that it made the paint bubble. Somewhere I have a thread that shows all the testing I did, and there's even a youtube movie. I'll come back and post a link to said thread shortly.

I found that the best adhesion came from exterior latex enamel. And I also found that where the edges didn't stick, due to shrinkage, or lack of pressure, that I could glue it down with titebond II or III, and it held wonderfully.

Definitely test your adhesion thoughts before running with it. It may surprise you.

Mike...

P.S. Here's the movie that Cone did for me...

Did a bit more on the roof today. It looks like we'll be able to close it in tomorrow if we have good weather.

You don't even need the project truck. Just the two new windows is enough to start a new build.

But tell me about the project truck.
