I got a project truck and two new windows - I say it's enough to start a new build???

You don't even need the project truck. Just the two new windows is enough to start a new build.

But tell me about the project truck.

Mike...

don't want to hijack your thread - but the truck is a 1994 ford F15 XLT fourspeed with overdrive, 5.0 engine and the best part is that it's Coleman green! (hard to tell from the picture - it was taken at dusk!)

Scott,

With a huge truck like that, you need to think about a larger TTT. Maybe a 16' .

How about something like this?

After testing said torture device, I found that it made the paint bubble. Somewhere I have a thread that shows all the testing I did, and there's even a youtube movie. I'll come back and post a link to said thread shortly.

I found that the best adhesion came from exterior latex enamel. And I also found that where the edges didn't stick, due to shrinkage, or lack of pressure, that I could glue it down with titebond II or III, and it held wonderfully.

Definitely test your adhesion thoughts before running with it. It may surprise you.

Mike...

P.S. Here's the movie that Cone did for me...

Thanks for the info. I do remember the movie but my memory being what it is, I didn't recall the perforating tool getting used.

:? :(

Anyway, thanks and I will take your advice and test my adhesion methods before I go with it.

Yep, it feels very roomy. And I can stand all the way up inside...

I posted you a picture of the reveal on the last page, did you see that?

I can see I need to take a picture to show how roomy it is in there...

Dang that looks good! This whole foamie thing has me thinking caned ham or bread loaf instead of a compact clone. Still waiting to see how GPW makes out with the foamstreme. Keep it up.

Mike , are you going to fill in the exposed kerf cut holes on the ends ??? Maybe just put the “reinforcing strips over that , then cover it over with the outside canvas ... ?
