I don't suspect it'll be as bad as you think GPW.
This heli thing takes a lot of skill. And I have neither the time or the money to do the skill level up to the stuff you see on youtube.
I'm sticking with the small stuff, because it's durable and can withstand many crashes. Plus I can fly it inside, and I am not limited by the weather or the wind.
My first one was a coaxial, which is really easy to fly.
I got a four channel coaxial which I am still learning on. The 4 channels are not habit yet, so I'll keep practicing...
Meanwhile I picked up a a couple single rotor helis. An 8" and a 12". I promptly broke the blade on the 12". So while I wait for the replacement blade, I am playing with the 8"
You can't imagine how hard it is to fly the Single Rotor after using the coaxial.
But finally I managed to get it in the air and keep it there.
