It has been my experience that when one has to ask the price (or get a quote) one can't afford em.

Given that they cater to government agencies (where cost is no object) I think they'll be very pricey. Better to look for R/V or consumer automotive type stuff.

But if I'm wrong they have some cool stuff.

Cheers,

Gus

what lights are you referring to? what do you plan on using them for?

ive installed electronics in cop cars, ambulances and fire trucks for several years and am well experienced with code 3 equipment.

hello emtgared I'm looking at converting my truck into a S&R truck and was wondering what kind of lights would be best for a f150 keeping it simple small set in grill and at the back and two bars up top one on truck one on back then will have spot lights for around then scene to illuminate the area

when doing installs for customers, i have ordered from

http://www.lshlights.com/

they have a good selection of name brand lights as well as good prices, usually about the best prices i can find.

however, if your not big on name brands, i often use speed tech lights for some of my lower budget customers.

https://www.speedtechlights.com/

the lights have been great so far, as well as cheaper than the other brands. and they are mostly plug and play stuff, so no need to buy extra controllers.

for scene lights, i have used name brand expensive stuff, but budget wise sometimes wally world or auto zone lights work the best and can get more bang for your buck. i have even used harbor freight lights

http://www.harborfreight.com/6-inch-off-road-light-system-95811.html

on some vehicles. and me and my off road buddys love them, cause for the price you can knock them off in the trails and not worry about replacing a 150 dollar kc light.

just remember with all the lights, halogen or incandescent may be cheaper but pull alot more power. always use appropriate wiring and relays. the leds use a fraction of power and can be brighter, as well as last longer, but tend to cost more upfront. where i work our old ambulances, with halogen and strobe lighting, had the stock two batteries under the hood, as well as 3 in the box for extra power. our new models with led lights inside and out, dont even have an extra battery, and we can run all emergency lighting with the engine off for at least 4 hours and it still starts right up.

Thanks for the links
I have a lot of homework in front of me now
I would like a simple setup of lights that could be removed from the vehicle if need be
I like the idea of some extra batteries I was thinking about getting some and placing them under the tool box (would also be good for extra power going to trailer)
Also need to get the long side rail boxes for storing ropes and harnesses
the dog kennel will ride in the middle but will be removable so can still use it as a truck
I'm thinking that I might do remote lighting so I wont have to drill any unwanted holes in my truck, I do have the camper plugs at the top of the box so, Would I tie into them?
