Yes that is what I was thinking as well about the plexi. Really it is a big hassle to fabircate and then you have the issue of future access.satch wrote:The main issue I see with that is most exterior fixtures are designed for "damp" locations. In the shower it might get really wet. Are you using 110 ac or 12v dc? Either way, I would built a water proof cover (out of plexy) too keep the water off and still allow the light to shine
Thats good to know so when you are using my shower I will turn off the lights...Did you say you do not need hot water too?eamarquardt wrote:I'm not sure what one needs to see in the shower. I can find pretty much every part of me by touch. I shave while showering and do it all by touch. With the new multi bladed razors it's pretty hard to nick yourself.

satch wrote: GFCI's trip only when there's a ground fault. If you were to touch a "hot" wire or fixture it may not trip since you are in a trailer that's insulated from the ground.

My light is on the exterior wall not under any sort of overhang. It is right at eye level very easy to touch and right next to the metal mail box. Do I have a death trap entrance? My mail box is not grounded.satch wrote:StandUpGuy wrote:So then the front porch is also a death trap in the rain?
Not really, most porch lights are under an overhang of some sorts, so they don't get hit with constant water. Plus, I don't know about you, but I don't know of anyone standing out on their porch, barefoot and naked, with the possiblity of touching a wet electric appliance.
