From the massive 'CEBIT' Telecom Show in Hannover Germany circa 2001, see this tricked-out Chassis used to gain exhibition space by an impressive Slide-out. When the >20 huge Halls are booked, extra Exhibition space is gained by using these Trucks. Also, Show Attendees are a bit more 'captive' in these Trucks vs. strolling by just another Exhibition Booth amongst thousands. See just one massive Exhibition Hall in the left background of this pic. This Hannover Fair Site is the only place large enough in the World to hold this particular Trade Show.

10 years on, I'm sure this Company has it down, in terms of mod'ding this Chassis. I never had a problem, either, with drop-dead gorgeous German Blondes handing out the free Champagne in such Trucks. Int'l Trade Shows have a LITTLE different style than the U.S. variety...

I also admired, in these Trucks, really intelligent usage of space. Any Vehicle must fit the Euro Roads and Ferries, obviously. So, they tuck the Batteries and some Filters back behind the Cab; tuck in external Tool Boxes 'wherever'; and generally treat design space as the valuable commodity it is. Good design inspiration for us small space aficionados...

I think that for the 3 million dollars price tag, one could afford a driver to deal with all those pesky navigational problems

I don't mean to be MR. Negative, but it's so impractical for just about any camping style short of some European version of a KOA campground in Monaco.

That sterile interior would last about 5 min. with a couple of kids and any sort of campground short of pavement and turf or just me for that matter....I'd bet it has some sort of interior air filtration system to take out the "campfire" smell that may intrude though....and includes the anti "merlot" treated cushions in case of spillage, gasp! I wonder where the brie and baguette storage is? Might be fun for a road trip with a load of strippers however....

Sincere apologies for the incomplete pix posted up. It just hit me as to WHY I have no Champagne Hostess pix in my bazillions of Biz/Travel pix on file. Cameras are seriously verboten in these High Tech Trade Shows, due to Industrial Spying concerns. It would have been easier to take pix in Area 51! Hidden Video Cams that fit into Necktie Clasps and Eyeglass Frames weren't affordable back in 2001!

Indeed, when flying 'The Nerd Bird' United Air Flights between High Tech Austin TX to Denver to San Francisco, it was 'standard practice' to have paid 'Spies' onboard listen in to Seatmate Tech conversations, and to go through Seat Pockets for info left behind once the Plane landed. Weird, but true. We also were forbidden to flip up and use our Laptops, lest the Screens be read, or key Customer info stolen. These concerns led, in part, to the invent of polarized Laptop Screen Covers that enable only the User to read the Screen on-axis.

Yep, I think the luxury Mercedes 'RV' is for ferrying pals around between your Yacht and your private Estate, all while on level Pavement. They do have Air Shocks to ride higher or lower. German 'Low Riders', so to speak. Overall, those Trucks are smaller than Semis here in the U.S.. Also, triple Trailers were not allowed, as they are here.

Think how many teardrops you could build for 1.9 million pounds sterling! Plus it's a little (or a lot) ugly on the outside...but you gotta give them europeans points for design.

Concept cars are exercises in 'what if' but this ugly thing is one of the worst examples I've seen. The interior is typical European design but what were they thinking with the exterior, it's just awful. The entire windshield is a very bad idea. The curvature on the edge will cause everything to distort and swirl around you. It looks like they ran out of money after designing the front end. The back is just a roundedy box. This thing is only meant to be a bus not an RV. That they are actually attempting to produce this is astounding.

Your definition of drop-dead gorgeous German Blondes is quite a bit different than mine. Or did you have Champagne googles on?
