Look at all the pretty colors

So I know that white is the best color for not turning the cargo into a sauna..Trouble is that I have a Black Xterra that I will be towing with..Not exactly the best match..I was thinking maybe silver might go better with the tv..How much "cooler" do you think white would be over silver????I would love to get the cargo green-love that color-but thats probably just as bad as black when it comes to heat absorption...Do most people here have white??Any other colors out there??what are your experiences??

I preferred the Haulmark Champagne color (see a sample pic in my album) as it is closest to my TV which is darker brown.

I have also personally seen the Haulmark trailers in their Silver Frost and Charcoal Gray colors. If were to go this color route, I would choose the Silver Frost as it is a rich, yet light enough color not be so much of a heat sink. Either of these 2 colors would compliment the black of your TV.

One other thing to keep in mind, Haulmark will paint your trailer multi-color for an extra charge. I believe the cost I was quoted, is around $300.00 extra.

When I had pickups (Chevy s10s), I always got a silver cap for the bed where the dog crates traveled. My first pickup (the VW - a rabbit in truck drag) came with a silver cap that seemed to keep things in the bed much cooler. Over 15 years I had black, teal green and red s10s, and all of them looked great with the silver cap.

But the most important thing...I put a thermometer in bed, and the interior temp in the silver capped bed was *always* 10-12 degrees F. lower than the temp in the cab. It was lower even when the cab windows were completely open and I had a sunshade on the cab windshield. When the cap windows and cap-gate were open/raised, the temp in the bed dropped to 15-20 degrees F. lower than the temp in the cab. Cool or heat-shielded is very important to me in a vehicle, so I stuck with silver for caps regardless of truck color.

You could always save the cash now on paint and get a white one, then later get a "wrap" to make it what ever color you want. You could then do a dual color or whatever, including stripes, etc., leaving the upper part white to reflect more sunlight up high. Many of the wraps are graphic, but you caould easily and more cheaply get a solid color if you want. Also, most local sign shops could sell you the vynil or you could have them do it for you.

Haulmark does not charge extra for a solid color...They only charge extra if you want a two tone..I think its like 85 bucks or something..I think Im leaning towards the silver..And then maybe sometime down the road I could get some black decals of some sort..
