Explorer Pod in Salem, OR

The Explorer Pod is up for sale. It was built in July ‘09 as a concept / demo trailer and used by us for a year. Then we sold it in the Summer of ’10 and it was used for traveling around the US doing volunteer work. Recently we purchased it back because the old owner took a four year Peace Corps assignment.

Some details about it:
Right now it needs the fenders recoat and some clean up.
Has a first generation MOAB Tent Unit
Sealed with gray Durabak
Smooth riding Jeep YJ off-pavement suspension with 2K axle

Any idea how much shipping to 20602 would be?

I would suggest getting bids from uship.com for it. Couple other dimension you'll need for the bid are, overall width 63", overall length ~10'.

I didn't mind meeting someone part way for a reasonable fee, by I normally keep it to a days drive, Maryland is a bit of a haul from Oregon.

Looks like a no go. Best offer I got to ship it was the same you are asking for it. While the pod is awesome I'd rather not double the price just to get it here.

I understand, cross-counrty shipping for something Pod sized is pricey. In the last year my freight shipping costs have jumped 20-45%. Driving a day for meeting part way isn't problem, but part way between us is a couple of day haul.
