Same here in Portland. I kept looking out the window to make sure the cover was still on my teardrop. It has calmed down and warmed up for now, but expecting heavy rain and wind for later.

We had terrible winds on Monday so I know what you are talking about Slow. It's a good day to get stuff done inside!

I live more inland, near the western base of the mountains. I heard the rain slam into the side of the house a few times last night. Everything on the covered porch got rained on because of the sideways at times wind. I slept through it until at 3AM I was awakened by a very loud thunderclap.

The ski hill is closed because of wind and down trees.

I brought my Little Guy home today from the Christmas camping spot. No problems as there is no wind now. It sounds like this will be our weather all week.

So, Slowcowboy, there may be no respite for you for a while. Sorry.

Blowing like crazy here too, Slow, and I'm on the other side of the country. It's a cold wind too. I don't like it.

No wind here..much warmer today, no ice on the car this morning at 6 am.

Right now (9 pm-ish) it's still 48 degrees out. If this holds I might ride tomorrow.

It was been overcast...we were scheduled for rain, but I think OR and WA got it instead...no rain for quite awhile.

Just looked at the Weather Channel app...0 wind right now. It will increase tomorrow to a whopping 5 mph!!!!!

I did drive through an isolated shower this morning...really strange. Really small area (a major intersection) then it was over.

Good luck Slow, and everyone else. Get your battery lanterns ready and cover up the teardrops!

Get ready for more. It blew again last night. My rug on the covered porch flipped over, that's all the damage I have seen.

A lot of rain came with it. I'll have to check my 5 gallon bucket rain guage, if it stayed upright.

Last night it was really blowing here at the Oregon coast. I had to go out in it and my truck was all over the road. The weather report was calling for winds between 35-50 with gusts around 70mph. I think we are in for another round tomorrow. Winter has arrived in the Pacific Northwest.

Here's a different result of windy conditions here this week:

I hope that is visible to US viewers - some BBC is locked to Europe.

If you are getting our weather later, more is on the way. I'm curious to see how much rain is in my five gallon bucket rain guage today. We got around 2 inches in the previous 24 hours. We have to make up for the unusual dry spell we had.

Send some rain down here, please. We need it BADLY! It's overcast and looks like rain, but nothing is happening. No rain in the forecast for the next 10 days.

No snow in Reno or Donner summit.

No snow in Tahoe.

Just plain NO SNOW!

No snow, no water for us in the spring/summer. We had water rationing when I was a kid...I'm thinking we might just be doing it again before long!

Past few weeks here in Idaho there has been very little wind of any kind.

Until last night about 8pm. Then it started to try to make up for it. I lost power twice but my trusty Coleman lanterns shown forth in the glum as I gloated over my backed out neighbors.

Today was a bit of wind but not to bad.

No snow around here yet. I am about 75 miles west of Pocatello. Monday I and the boss are taking two pickups to North Dakota. One sort of on the west side and the other all they way to Fargo. We will be going through Idaho Falls to Interstate 90. Will be gone about 10 days. Going to stop in and visit his kids.

Not sure how much I will get paid for.

Well, the wind is here in Indiana today. It's supposed to gust up to 50 mph, with mostly 20 mph all day until 10 pm tonight.
