Sorry! I've gotten a little bit more done on it but nothing picture worthy lately. Life's been getting in the way of boatbuilding lately. I've been working a lot of "overtime" at work lately. I call it "overtime" because my job does not actually pay for overtime. Planning on going and buying a trolling motor tomorrow so I can figure out the transom height. Hopefully there will be pictures tomorrow! Thanks for keeping track!

... that and it’s been Freezing COLD (well, for us anyway) :o

Rosey , you won’t need much motor to push the Boat ... be sure and get one with a battery indicator , so you don’t run out of “juiceâ€

looks great, I was thinking about something like this back toward the end of summer, somethign to play with the whole "foam construction" thing without getting in as deep as a camper. I just haven't had the time for projects lately.

I did not accomplish anything today, but I did get some errands ran and picked up the new trolling motor. I think it passed inspection.

Hopefully tomorrow I have a little time to get some actual work done!

Nothing picture worthy again today. :( But I did make some progress on the second lamination for the wales. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have something worth taking pictures of.

Swampjeep- If you have a chance to do a little project like this, I hope you take it. This has been really fun, and a nice break from the house remodeling that I have been working on the last 2+ years. :)

:applause:  Might just do this instead of buying a new canoe. For stability you could always add a wide strip of foam down both sides. Could even add it later if needed. Look forward to the finish!

Hi, Rosey!

I'm watching this thread, too. I don't know much about building boats; but, I want to see this one, with people in it, in the water. I'm intrigued by it and wishing you the best!

Hi!
Just so no one thinks I've forgotten.... I have a picture. Finally got the wales finished and the permanent supports in. Started removing the temporary forms!

Your boat looks great so far!!!! Looking forward to hearing/seeing how the lagging compound works. Enjoy the French Quarter. If I were down there, I would try to eat my way through it. MMMMM Yummy!!

I got to talk in person with the owner/builder (Rosey) last night and from our conversation , I really think now Rosey’s onto something BIG !!!...
Further conversations with my friend Vincent (NOGC) , his desire was to make a strip canoe to save weight ... I suggested he check out Rosey’s boat , and now I think we have another Foamie convert :o ... He wants one too ... The key words in both conversations was extreme light weight , and easy of portability ...
