First True Motorcycle Teardrop

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

P'yolk: That's very very cool! I also want to see morte pics, spacially the opening/folding mechanism.

Gage: I guess P'yolk meant the first teardrop that doesn't look ridiculously huge behind a bike.

My first build is going to be about the size of the "pico" since I'm aiming at pulling it behind a 12' just like the one in your picture, except mine is the non-injected Aspen.

I love it when someone makes an excuss for someone else and doesn't really know what that person meant, just making a guess.

I think Gage is wrong, you do have the M/C sized teardrop. I have a Goldwing Trike and wouldn't pull anything over 300 lbs.. Nice job!
best, Tim

First glance I said oh the front slids forward; then there you are laying down and the cooler is still on the tongue.
then I thought must be a tube-in-a-tube and rear portion goes aft but the only latch I see is the one on top
is the top latch the only latch or does the tubes hook together like a trailer hitch into a trailer receiver with a bolt or latch pin?
I would like to know what material you used for construction.
inquiring minds want to know no matter how it works it truly is one of a kind.
thanks for sharing.

Very, very clever. Is there a tent portion that covers the opening? I imagine sealing the two halves when folded will be a bit of a challenge, but nothing that can't be done with some more thought. My brother and I have thought of building a small trailer for bikes, like a Pico. I would only need a single wide as Wifey doesn't care for the bike. I wonder how a 4 wide would work for those who travel in pairs? I really think this is a fresh, exciting idea. I hope you plan on, somehow, marketing this idea.
