General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Louella:

I don't have any set in stone plans yet. I am a half hour north or RT 80, so will be heading out that way. My thoughts are two long days of driving, and day three trying to end up near Devil's Tower on the eastern side of Wyoming. It's a 30 hour drive from where I am, so I was considering two 12 hour days and one six hour.

I don't know if I'm being realistic.. lol.. I drove straight through to the Indiana gathering, which was 12 1/2 hours, but it was only one day. I travel alone, and due to a sometimes flaky back, I make fairly frequent stops, if for nothing more than to stretch my back for five minutes.

Now that the date is set, and my time off from work is approved, I'll start the official planning. I'll have a total of 16 days to travel, so maybe a more leisurely drive would make sense too...

THE RESERVATION IS OFFICIAL. I HAVE THE CONFIRMATION FROM RECREATION.GOV TODAY.

I will call on Tuesday and try to get more info on how the site is set up and how many little trailers we can fit. But do to limited space it will have to be first come first served. The total cost for the 3 nights for the group site is $114.00. We will divide that by the number of trailers we have. When we have a count I'll let everyone know how much they owe.
I am also going to ask if there is another close by place in case we get a larger group then the site can hold. Hope to see lots of you at Wyoming's first Teardrop outing.

Great job getting this together gentlemen! I probably won't be able to make it, but would like to suggest Teardrop Roundup
as a name. I don't know if any other group is using it for a gathering, but seeing as it is a slow cowboy first, I thought it might work.

Call it the "Slow Cowboy Invitational". Wish I could come out. That part of wyoming is God's country for sure.

It would be nice to get Wood Butcher's name in there, since he helped; but, ya gotta be careful there.
If you use the Butcher part, people might think it's gonna be another chainsaw massacre!! :o

So, using the Wood part as a pun, here's one idea: Slow's Woods Welcoming
:D

...Or, Slow's Wyoming Welcoming?
...Or, simply Slow's Woods Campout

Thanks for the thought Sharon, but this is Mikes outing. I am happy to help organize it but don't need to be part of the name. Whatever he wants to call it is fine with me. But keep the ideas coming till he finds something he likes!
