Well, I won a 2nd little potbelly stove on ebay...I contacted the seller told him what happened to the first one, and how it needs to be packed tightly in a box inside of a box with packing around it. So of course he didnt totally listen and the legs were broken off of it... so he refunded me my money and I returned it... ok done with that lol
So was looking on craigslist and found someone selling a Nu-way woodstove and a nu-way propane stove and 4 flue sections for $99. I emailed him and went to pick it up. I was hopeing it was the 12k btu propane model because its a smaller footprint. Well it was the 16k model Im not really gonna complain got it for $90 dollars.
The woodstove model was a little rusty so I sanded it down and hit it with high temp paint and have it up on ebay lol.
The propane unit he said was only fired up twice the burner was real clean as was the rest of it. So I had a stainless steel through deck fitting that I bought for the first failed stove so I mounted it on saturday and had the stove up and running on sunday. I think its mainly gonna only be on a little higher then the pilotlight but it warmed the cabin up real nice. I need to add a heat shield behind the stove next time Im down at my friends place. I ran the propane line through the galley to the stove, the 12 foot regulator and hose I bought was "just" long enough lol to be able to sit the 20lb cylinder on the ground and close the galley doors. That works for me. One day I might pick up a longer hose but the place I know that does it is about an hour or so away so not sure when I feel like takeing the trip.
The chimney pipe on top with the cap isnt really gonna stay up there just thought it looked funny.
