I am jealous! I had a setup like that for years until I burned clean through the firebox. You are going to love it.

And the food looks delicious.

Look heavenly.

That's awsome Bob. I have the same one. Let me know when you are ready for the beef jerky recipe!

I'm ready. I've never done jerky in a smoker. That does look good.

Brisket is almost $6 a pound at ouy local grocery. I get it for $2.90 a pound at a butcher shop not far from where I live. A whole lot cheaper.

I had another one for several years when we lived in Texas. I couldn't bring it with us when we moved back to Kansas. To heavy, so I gave it to a friend of mine. You could say, SmokeyBob is back in business.

Mike...that sounds amazing. I have a smoker still in the box. Looks like I'll get it out and figure out how to use it when the rain stops (it finally started yesterday!!!)

Gotta ask...is the jerky, um, tough? I have a friend who made jerky in the oven and it came out like shoe leather. Seems like the smoker would cure it without drying it as severely..

Either way, I'm trying this. I was going to make the oven jerky until I found out it comes out so dry you need a hatchet to break off pieces and a gallon of water to wash it down.

If anyone else tries this soon let me know how you like it...although I trust Mike's opinion!

If it works, I'll be taking jerky to the Dam!!

Dammit, Bob!! You know I only live about 50 miles from you now!! It wouldn't take me but a minute to round up enough people to make that pile of meat disappear

Kansas City has alot of teardroppers within 50 miles and I know you and Judith can't eat all of that!!

Looks good, buddy!!
