Hey everybody...
A few weeks ago I finished the resto project of my 71 VW Bus...

So i was looking for a new project that's how I found teardrop trailers concept... that was love at the first sight... since then i spend my nights reading on how to build one... on a budget and as usual I don't have a garage of my own...
Last week I found this for sale on Craiglist : a 4x8 frame for 50$ ...

I went to pick it up yesterday ... I'm gonna give her a little TLC and then build my teardrop on it... thank you for being here... talk to you soon..
cheers

Beautiful VW! Can't wait to see your skills with a saw and screwdriver.

Welcome to the fun.

The bus looks great! I've always wanted to pick up an older Westy, but they're not as easy to find as they used to be.

Welcome to the forums!

Thank you for your warm welcome guys...
It took me a year to restore my bus... it's my daily driver... my goal is to use it to haul the trailer so I can go camping with my two kids... in order to do that i'm gonna have to be as lightweight as possible... my 1600cc flat four is not the strongest engine in the world :)

Paul I took a look at your teardrop building website... nice job...
I am still hesitating between a metal skin for the roof and galley hatch the rest of the body would be plain varnished wood and a good paint job on a full wood body to match the bus colors... I could see that your paint job came pretty nice...

Ben... about the Westy and if you don't know this website yet you should take a look at www.thesamba.com ... I found mine there for 2500$ ... obviously it was a rust bucket

Thanks again guys
