General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Slow:

I have a wally world cover too, going through it's second winter. Mine shows no wear at all. I have it hooked up so it fits fairly snug, just a few mods with a sewing machine, and I clamp it at the front.

Covercraft has an "outlet store" nearby in Canoga Park. I picked up a "generic" cover for about $40 or so. It is waterproof and breathes.

They have an online site but it doesn't seem to be the one I go to.

Hey Slow

You could just get a custom made one. The one I have is really heavy made and has a 5 year warranty.

If it fits snug it would be harder for the wind to tear it.

How about making a garage door in the living room. Store it in there.

Note the oilrag under the primary chain cover. :D

The cover is the yellow building. The snow is gone now, but the rain will go on and on and on. I have a dehumidifier thingie hanging inside the Little Guy and can run a heater once in a while to keep it dry inside.

I need to get a cover for mine, too. Right now it's inside across town. But with the odd shape...well, it's more difficult than you would think. Van covers are way too long.

The most likely option was a teardrop cover made for the Forest River teardrop. I'd get the bigger one and see if it will make it over mine...but if it doesn't, then I've got to ship it back (ouch!)

Sorry for the long URL. I'm not up to figuring out how to shrink it right now.

LDK...where did you get your cover and how much did it cost? I like the door access...That's why I'm leaning toward the Forest River one.

This is where I got mine at http://www.pahaquecustom.com/

Slow, when we drove through your neck of the woods 3 weeks ago i noticed Wind names all over. And there is a rest stop west of you on Highway 26 near some reservoir with a sign explaining how the wind in that area keeps the snow off the ground so it is a good wintering place for wild life that like to eat stuff that can get covered with snow. And things that like to eat things that get covered with snow.

I don't know if I can make your gathering or not. But I will keep the TD loaded and ready to go if at the last minute I can.
