S.C. I see you have a USB/SERIAL converter, but for others....
IF you "computer" does not have a RS-232 interface (most new don't) you can use a USB to RS-232 converter to interface older design RS-232 interfaces through computers the only have USB ports....
Only difficulty is to get software programmed to what is correct COM PORT NUMBER, as USB devices tends to assign what ever COM PORT may be available on what seems to be a "random" pattern (on bootup or USB insertion) ...
