Outside Links Not in New Window/Tab

Postby parnold » Mon Feb 13, 2012 2:41 pm

Mike:

One of the things I always liked about the old site was that links by default opened in a new tab/window. Your default setting is to open in the same window now. I know it's a stupid little thing, and easily avoidable once I get used to it. Maybe someday you wanna change it?

I agree Paul! Easiest work-around for now, is to click links using your scroll wheel on your mouse (if you have one).

I've used a scroll-wheel mouse at work for years and I never realized pressing the wheel would put the selection in a new window. Thanks for the tip!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just as easy would be to right click the link and select "open in new tab", but I don't remember to do it. Yes, I prefer links to open in new tabs/windows.

I believe they've all been fixed so that they open in a new tab. Let me know if something is NOT opening in a new tab.

Right mouse button click (on link) will give you choice of "new window", or "new tab" ... At least that is way FIREFOX browser responds....

Mike...

Do not like "tabs".... New window ....

Whatever is ok.... I have nimble fingers and can press right mouse button and make choice...

I'm glad I saw this post. I almost posted the same the other night. I really liked having the outside links open in a new tab by themselves. I know it is not a big thing, but very convenient (and I got used to it).
I did just try a link or two from some other posts and they still open in the same window.

Thanks
Brian
