How do you like the new version of the forum?

Postby mikeschn » Thu Feb 23, 2012 9:23 pm

Okay, so there are still a few bugs to be worked out... But now it's time to ask, how do you like the new version of the forum?

Pros? Cons?

Mike...

I like it. You work way too hard on these things, though. Take a break. Build a camper or a cigar box guitar or somthing. :D

When it comes to technology, it does no good to fight progress. With technology, efficiency will always take precedence over antiquity. I’m okay with that…I’m liking the new forum format!

Thanks go to Mike and his transition team for making such a big move go so smooooothly! :applause:

There was an old version? :D

Kudos. Like it.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Mike,

Change is inevitable.
With computer systems you have lot less choices if you don't make periodic upgrades.

It's not like an old trailer or car that can be rebuilt.

So, "Thanks for all the hard work in making the changes to keep the forum up and running". :applause: :) :applause:

I like it but don't understand all the benefits of the change.
Being my cell phone is only used as a phone, and I have no interest in buying/carrying a bigger one, the form just looks different but in a clean sorta way.
I definitely like the new simpler to remember web address when I recommend the forum to an interested party.
I like the way the topics are listed, it's so much easier to read.
I was kinda expecting a preview of the topic when my cursor hovered over the titles but that must be a different type of forum like I see at http://www.trifive.com/forums/.
There's still some bugs to fix and I have no problem with that as I can still get around here.
I really appreciate all the effort Mike and crew have done, your a peach for sure.
Thanks, :D Danny

$> seems a little expensive but I guess prices will keep going up. I am a little late in cutting you a check but start looking in your mail box. Had to find time to get some photo's together for you.

The headlines are less :vroom: hard to read, there seems to be no smiles with a blind fold but it took a while for me to figure out how to use the poll site. Just had to it is an addiction.
Much cleaner looking. like the colors, like the new web site name,
:pictures: it is picture perfecto
 I bow to you... good job!! :wine: :shake hands:

Other than the occasional glitch that you're already aware of, I like it.

I especially like the link within each topic to go to the next unread post. Saves me from having to remember where I left off of a particular thread.
