Well, lets see.
Divorced, & single.
Got a adult son, daughter, & grand daughter.
Live 2 blocks from work, so I'm not spending money on a commute.
I don't think I was wasting my money. I camp a lot in the hot & dry area of Eastern Washington so to me it was money well spent for a drink of cold water.
I keep my water in 5 gallon coleman water jugs & transfir it to the water bags for drinking.
Oh ya, I forgot to add.
I don't drink, don't smoke, & I don't chase women. Or collect Coleman. I'm saving big time.

I know how you feel. I told my doctor that I had quit smoking and drinking thirty five years ago. "Saved your life," he said.
Now that I am a widower I think this may be it for a while. Thinking of getting another motorcycle. They're ready whenever I am.
They only want to go. Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any speed, stop when I want, it's never too late or too early. I've had them before; even rode one from Chicago to Santa Barbara. What a wonderful trip. Over the Golden Gate bridge and down Hwy One.
My post about the water bag was just to be taken as information. Far be it for me to comment on how people spend their money. I don't expect any comment on my money matters and it's none of my business how others handle theirs.

I got one of those. bought it back in 79-80 I think it was. Playing in the sand with the Marines at 29 stumps. (death valley, 125 in the shade, bring your own shade.) Yes, cool water! :-)

Just what I need. An excuse to visit the surplus place. But Army surplus is not what it use to be back in the 60s when they was still selling off WWII and Korea. I wore out a bunch of army field jackets. Had one through most of my time at the University in the 60s and 70s.

now the field jackets in army surplus are jungle camo. give it 10 years or so and they'll be desert camo.
I bet my water bag would need a new cork.
