We have always left our teardrop in a campground near the city and driven in to visit. If possible, we prefer to park in a parking garage rather than use street parking as the former offers a bit more protection.

Makes sense, that's what I figured. Last time I towed a trailer was 1991 and it was just a straight shot from L.A. to San Francisco. I remember it being less of a headache than I imagined (finding parking, filling up with gas, etc.), but I never drove it in a congested area. I would not dream of taking a teardrop into a place like San Francisco or Manhattan, but once we get one I know we'll be going to Lake Tahoe and Lassen and we'll probably stop to visit friends in San Francisco on the way, so I'll start looking around for a secure place to store it when we do . . .
Thanks again.
