I very seldom use my Honda Eu2000i at full throttle & the 'Eco' switch is always set to 'on' thus it only runs at rpm necessary to provide power for the current load. Unless we have a large appliance such as A/C or M/W in use I can stand adjacent to the Honda & carry on a conversation at normal voice level. Couple of years ago we camped in NF C/G at 10K ft in SW Colorado. We'd exhausted the batteries in both digital cameras that day so after checking with the C/G Host I started the Honda to recharge. We had light rain showers on the mountain so I draped a small tarp loosely over the generator. Couple of neighbors came by & stopped to admire & ask questions about the TD. The Honda was so quiet that one fellow was pretty startled when he realized the generator was running under the tarp he was standing next to. We've used it to power the PetCool A/C & a small microwave on a number of occasions. It has never proved inadequate & I've never found another that's as quiet comparatively...
Just before I put tarp over the generator
