After asking around, I decided to make rectangular tables rather than one that ends in a semi-circle. A rectangle made it easier to trim around the edge, covering the plys.
I had some nice 1/4" birch ply scraps that I bought from a guy off craigslist. Glued 2 together to make 1/2" plywood, cut and trimmed it with 1x2 oak. That goes with the camper, which has oak sides and trim with a birch top. I then sanded and stained it to match.
the attachments were already on the camper. I got the matching attachment for the table and bought the legs from Scott at Compact Camping Concepts.
Pretty happy with them so far and can't wait to give them a real test soon. Thanks to those who showed me their side tables.
