If you built your doors from scratch....
What hinges did you use
Did you use the same door as you cut out. and if you did how did put it back in and insolate it??
and how did you insolate it

I used the section from the walls that I cut out to build the doors. I cut the 'cutouts down to 1/4" smaller all the way around. The doors were then build exactly like the sidewalls (3/8" plywood outside - 3/4" 1xs framing - 3/4" insulation - 1/8" plywood inside - and aluminum outer skin. Some deadsoft t-moulding, AL trim around the edges and a SS piano hinge to hang it.

I built my door from scratch. I had to build a second one after I cut the window opening wrong. I probably overbuilt it but I figured with all the opening and shutting, a lightweight one would probably fall apart over time. I used a piano hinge to hang it and didn't have alot of insulation because of the amount of wood used in the construction. I've probably got over 2,000 miles on it since last June and haven't had any problems at all.

I did the same as Bruce--only mine didn't come out as nice.

I built the wall with the framing in it to be cut out and used for the door. I done it to keep the grooves in the wood the same and line up accordingly once the piano hinge was installed. I used beaded board inside and out and almost installed them backwards because the grooves were very close to matching.

Ron, I cut out the door, laid it on the floor and built the frame on top of it. I didn't make the frame dead nuts accurate because I knew I would have to trim some to make the door gap right. When I got the frame done, I put insulation in the spaces then put the interior skin on. It worked pretty good for me.
