got my step installed and am almost finished up with my DC wiring and ill work on the AC, i putting a dual batter y box in beneath the floor right in front of the axle, dual box so i dont take room up on the tongue for my generator, i want ac and dc functionality still on the fence with solar, i plan on installing a roof rack though for hauling more stuff i may put a solar panel or two on top...or just use the generator when I need

Great start, keep sending pictures.
I bought a step just like yours, I was checking it out one day and didn't come up with a good way to mount it so I put it away.
Did you have to weld on any additional braces to make it work?
Can you get a picture of how you did it.

Thanks

when i get home tonight ill take a couple of pics of the step...it was not easy to install as the v frame is in the way of an easy mount no additional welding, but i had to grind down the top slide assembly in order to get it to slide back in, and shim it down with some bolts, it still doesnt come out all the way but does work better then nothing, i have the 24 inch model, i think the narrow one might work better..I will say the leveling jacks on the rear were much easier to install on the rear, very clean and almost invisible!

here are more pics, insulating now finished up most of the ac wiring, got the ac/dc distribution panel in ($35 on ebay) and 45 amp inverter now will mount those inthe front and cover them with built in cabinet and doors, when i get my battery box done ill mount it in the floor and run cables from the distribu ation box and back and tie in my AC outlets as well. For those that did solar on the roof, what did you use for a mast to run your solar through the roof? Id like to pre wire... im going to find a reasonable battery box for my generator to sit in on the front of the trailer these pics descriptions are not comin out the same

got my battery box welded up with some 2 inch by 1/8 angle iron,it will it hang below the floor right in front of the axle so it will not be lower. the battery box is aluminum for a race car set up, ill drill a couple of holes to run the cable out and up to the distribution box. Its a dual box, right now ill just use one battery until i find a couple of 6 volt golf cart batteries. Ill throw a coat of paint on the steel and set it in the floor. Ill make a diamond plate top for it on a piano hinge so i can get in and out of the box easy and set flush mount the rack in the floor. I have to finish up wiring the distribution box and the inverter and insulate the ceiling.

I cut a hole in the floor and dropped the frame in, this is a two battery box..i thought i was going to be able to router out and inset the box, but i wanted it close to the wall next to the wheel as much as possible in case i did hit something underneath, the axle and spring would take a lot of the hit...now i have to run my wire up..seal the box to the frame and use a piano hinge and a piece of diamond plate on top for a lid..

here is my tow rax tool kit. (not very well organized yet though) .i mounted a couple if permanent round mounts on the outside of the trailer..they are aluminum and stainless so they wont rust..and when i go out in the back country i have a tool kit already to go. i take it off and hang it in my garage when not using it with the trailer....it works great as a work bench as i convert the inside also..i may mount my spare tire underneath on the outside also..

got my ceiling up, insulation completed, e track mounted for the bed, dc and ac power panel installed outlets installed and the inverter mounted. im building out the front cabinets and need to install the sink as far to the right as possible for more counter space and i can clean up without going all the way in the trailer... Im painting everything white, as the space is so small a dark color will make it seem smaller i may do the cabinets in black though as the formica is a dark color and it is a dual use trailer for toy hauling, storage and camping in. The leading edge on the countertop ill probaby do in aluminum or stainless..i havent decided as it will take a beating.. i really like the maxxair thermostat reversible ceiling fan, that thing really moves some air. I need to finish up the cabinets, crown moulding and paint...I really like the recessed led lights they are nice and bright i have 2 switched next to the front door and the other two at the rear door so i can open the rear and just use the rear two lights the same with the front... The rear lights installed over the back ramp area are to bluish..im going to swap them out for something brighter

got the first coat of paint on the cabinets, formica glued down on the main counter, sink in, 110 outlets in, still have the 12 volt switch plate to put in and the led under cabinet lights...i have the formica cut for the microwave area, got the lower doors built out, have the upper ones to do yet. im using plywood and poplar trim on the doors, and lots of aluminum. Backsplash is aluminum and all the moulding will be as well except for the crown moulding along the ceiling edge...

got my cabinet doors hung..im not a carpenter! formica on upper microwave cabinet installed and under cabinet LEd lights installed, 12v outlet. installed aluminum backsplash..I purchased a shurflo electric faucet..94-009 .new hooked it up and it didnt work..i ordered another, leaves me wondering about quality with these shurflo faucets or if i should go with an electric pump and standard RV faucet...Im sending this unit back still have trim work to take care of and painting. building out my toungue mounted generator box..will have set up for a pair of honda e1000i on drawer slides..as most of the time i will not need 2kw..1kw will be used most of the time...
still have roof rack to install and platform.and the sliding drawer over the microwave.the door latch and lock assembly was a pain to install as others have indicated on the main access door...

Looking really good! :applause:

I like the aluminum contrast with the dark trim. The lighting looks great too. Nice job on the counter area.

BTW. Your power distribution panel looks large enough to power a small house.......
