I've been following this forum for quite a while now, and liked the idea of a teardrop right from the beginning. I live in the South of Holland, right on the Belgian border. Even though many people go caravanning, teardrop trailers are not very common over here, in fact they are a rarity!
At this point I am still collecting various bits and pieces, I do have a braked, rubber-sprung axle, the tongue, and some small bits and pieces.
Weight will be a major point to consider, as my tow vehicle is a Burton which weighs only 450 kg (1000 lbs). The maximum weight it can tow (by law) is 400 kg (880 lbs), that is with a braked axle.
I am planning on using the concept of the New Cub, with a very simple steel frame, and relatively thin plywood for the floor and walls.
Because the Burton has a classical look to it, I will use a profile with classical lines too, maybe draw one myself...
