New Teardrop Trailer "Lover"

Postby Gnaatz1 » Thu Aug 02, 2012 11:19 pm

I am new to the Teardrop Trailer, but have already sort of fallen in love with it so to speak. I've already order the book "Teardrops and Tiny Trailers, and read it! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. I've been online for the past few weeks learning, viewing past builds, etc in order to make plans to build one to my own specifications and uses.

Hopefully I can come here and pick your heads and help fine tune my plans in order for this build to happen (within the next couple years -tops!).

Thank you,

I want to build and do some teardrop camping ASAP!

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you've got the bug! This will be a great tool for you before, during, and after your build. There is a serious amount of wisdom in this group and the possibilities are endless! Never hesitate to ask a question, but chances are pretty good that the majority of them have been answered in previous posts so be sure to get familiar with the site.

Looking forward to following your build!

Do you have any drawings or an idea on the look of your traielr that will help. Do an layer of 1/8th interior and then your spars then two layers of 1/8th inch will be strong enough. for carrying a canoe a roof rack with the hard points over the walls is best. insulation will keep you warm and stiffen up the roof. looking forward to seeing your build and we love pictures. ask away we have alot of the answers and if not we can engineer it.

Sounds like you're "addicted" to this "drug" of our li'l camper world here. Great to have you on board and good luck with your build when you start it. As I mentioned, this is like a "drug", more along the line of a Hallucinogenic type. :? Once you get started on your first build you will understand because you will start seeing "visions" of what you could change on your next build.......

Gnaatz1, if you don't mind me asking, what part of the world do you call home? It's OK, you part of "da family" now.....
