We have a short summer in Siberia, but 5 months you can relax in nature.
I want to build a Teardrop for what would extend the season to rest for some time. When the heat during the day but cold at night, we can sleep in a warm Teardrop. I do not know yet what type of heater to use? If I'm in the woods there is no electricity.

Atwood makes a nice little furnace that uses propane and some folks here, in the colder climates, use a heated mattress pad powered by elctricity from the battery, but you'd be surprized at how just body heat keeps you warm in such a small space...
Dare I say you may not need a heater, even in Siberia???
Be sure to allow for ventilation, so you get enough oxygen while sleeping.
Nice photo album you've got going there, great looking family. You're very fortunate to still have your Dad...
Spend plenty of time reading the wealth of information here, before starting your build.

Welcome! It is wonderful having you here. About 10 years ago, my wife and I spent 2 weeks in Russia and we loved it there. We visited Chelyabinsk and Ulyanovsk as well as Moscow. My wife still talks about how much she enjoyed the pelmeni that was prepared for us there.

I saw a lot of beautiful country that would make for wonderful camping while we were there. I look forward to seeing many of your pictures. Especially of western Siberia. I miss it and would love to return for a visit some day.

Its nice to have you here with us. Ive always had an interest to come fishing in Siberia as well as visit the Nenet People and do a documental program on the nature and culture.

The Nenets people are an indigenous tribe that have long survived in this region

According to the latest census in 2002, there are 41,302 Nenets in the Russian Federation, most of them living in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Nenets Autonomous Okrug. They speak the either the Tundra or Forest varieties of Nenets.

Also another reason our interest in Siberia is the origin of the Samoyed Dog.

Sergey, welcome to the best teardrop and tiny trailer forum in the world. Wow, thanks for the fine pictures of the area where you live. Those of us here in the States, have little idea what Russia may look like, especially in the rural areas. Perhaps you will be hearing from one of our old forum friends who lives in Finland. He has built a beautiful teardrop trailer and I am sure he would be happy to share some of his ideas with someone who probably lives just across the border.

I must say, you sure can communicate well in English. How did you learn to do it so well? Speaking a foriegn language is a challange, but writing and reading it is another matter. I know, I have relatives in Sweden. Good for you, making a wooden snow plow. It it's wood, it's got to be good. Have fun building your teardrop. Perhaps you can tell us how you got interested, and if you have ever seen a real teardrop up close.

Do take pictures as your build progresses. We sure love pictures. Again, thanks for joining us, and I hope you will post regularly.
