Bought a stand up

Postby wincrasher » Tue Aug 07, 2012 11:48 am

As much as I like my tear, I really only want to use it when I go on car rallys. I like to go on kayaking and hiking trips to state parks and would like to be more comfortable. So I got this 2013 Surveyor Sport 189.
It's 20 feet long all in - some of you probably think that's huge. But it's a good size for a single person. Got it equipped to go off-grid with extra battery, 2 fantastik fans and 2 30# gas bottles. Pulling with a Suburban, so the weight is a non-issue.

So basically your bathroom has a much cubic feet as my entire teardrop?

I'm sorry, but I had to chuckle that you find it the perfect size for a single person. I'll admit my tear is a little small, hence the addition of #2 to my garage, but I'd get lost in that thing just trying to find the bedroom.

All kidding aside, I'm sure you'll love it!

I'm single and I have both - a teardrop style camper and a 25' travel trailer. Pulling ability isn't my concern but rather the ability to get the teardrop in and out of tight places where a full size camper can't fit.

Congrats on the camper.

Nice trailer, congratulations. It should be very comfortable.

Depends on what your definition of tiny is.

My neighbors think it's laughably small. They think my tear is just nuts.

But I'm sorry you are so offended by my post. Think you should return to the thread on pink flamingos. That's a lot more appropriate for the GENERAL forum.

Oh well, I enjoyed seeing the photo of his new trailer. The OP has a teardrop, and was just sharing his joy of having another. While some people enjoy just their one tiny trailer, there are some who have trailers of different sizes, and have different hobbies.

A trailer size to fit the occasion! Some people may envy having one of those, but the price tag may be to much, so they opt to build a tiny trailer as the alternative. Congratulations on your new trailer, it looks awesome!

Just a couple notes because I got more upset as this thread continued.

Here's the description of the General Thread -- General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Here's something from the rules.
Rule Number 1: ... Respect
We are polite, kind and appropriate at all times.

A little further down there is this...

Zero Tolerance Policy: (ZTP)

A list of what the ZTP covers is as follows:

a. Trolling is not acceptable, period.
b. Bullying is not acceptable, period.
c. Flaming/Bashing will not be tolerated.
d. Harassment (anything that falls in the grey area between
trolling and flaming. More specifically, it is targeting a specific user and
repeatedly mocking them or saying hurtful things. This includes tags in
signatures targeted at specific members or making statements for or
against any policy
). No matter how harmless you think it is, don't do it.

Admin is now watching this thread. I have tried to clean it up, if I have missed anything please let me know.
I won't be giving any reasons for my deletions or editing of post.
Unless Mike says otherwise, I think this topic is just fine under the "general discussion" section as well as "off topic".
